What is fibromuscular dysplasia?
Fibromuscular Dysplasia is an abnormal cluster of cells growing in the wall of the blood vessel. This cluster causes narrowing, restricting blood flow which can cause damage to the organs. It looks like a “string of beads” pattern caused by the alternating narrowing and enlarging of the artery.
