What is triangular fibrocartilage complex injury?

The triangular fibrocartilage complex refers to the tissue system on the small finger (ulnar) side of the wrist. An injury to the TFC can occur as a result of immediate trauma such as a sports injury. TFC tears can lead to inflammation and joint instability or conditions such as arthritis.
