What is surgical menopause?

Surgical menopause occurs following an oophorectomy (removal of ovaries). The absence of ovaries and hormones can lead to sudden and severe onset of menopausal symptoms.

Reports may be affected by other conditions and/or medication side effects. We ask about general symptoms (anxious mood, depressed mood, fatigue, pain, and stress) regardless of condition.
