What is protein C deficiency?
Protein C deficiency, a disorder of blood clotting, is also known as prothrombotic state or thrombophilia characterized by the propensity to develop venous thrombosis (blood clots in veins) due to an abnormality in the coagulation (clotting) system. It may be an inherited or an acquired disease.
