  • Perceived effectiveness for Major Depressive Disorder: Moderate
  • Perceived effectiveness for Generalized Anxiety Disorder: Moderate
  • Perceived effectiveness for Emotional stress: Major
  • Side Effects: None
  • Adherence: Never
  • Burden: Somewhat
Dosage: 45 min Weekly
Advice & Tips: The right therapist is very very very very very difficult to find, but extremely effective if you can find him/her. It is often too stressful to go through the search, though. Especially for someone experiencing depression. I found a therapist who incorporated mindfulness meditation techniques and was very happy with her, but my insurance did not cover her. I may return to her at some point, but right now I am doing okay with my meditation practice and the meditation groups that I attend. Plus, my friends' support has been awesome for the last year.
Cost: $50-99 monthly
