What is nephrogenic diabetes insipidus?

Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus is a condition where the body produces too much urine. The kidneys do not respond to an antidiuretic hormone (ADH), also called vasopressin. This condition may be acquired from other conditions or medications; or hereditary.
