Famotidine is inhibits gastric secretions and is used as maintenance therapy and treatment of duodenal ulcer; treatment of gastroesophageal reflux, active benign gastric ulcer, and pathological hypersecretory conditions. OTC it is used for relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, and sour stomach.

Advice & Tips: When I first started taking this it worked really well but over time its effectiveness was less and less until it didn't work well at all. Was switched to prescription omiprizole.
