Ketoconazole is an antifungal medication. It works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection. As a cream it is used to treat ringworm, jock itch, athlete's foot, and yeast infections of the skin. It comes as a shampoo to treat tinea versicolor, a skin infection that causes brown spots.

Advice & Tips: Use it 1-2 time per week...still have bouts of itchy, bumpy scalp...Dermatologist says it is NOT Psoriasis and to stick to my Nizoral regimen.
