What is Antitachycardia pacing?

Antitachycardia pacing (ATP) is the use of pacing stimulation techniques for termination of tachyarrhythmias. Such techniques can be automatically applied using implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) and offer the potential for painless termination of ventricular tachycardia.
