Lormetazepam, also sometimes known as methyllorazepam, is a benzodiazepine derivative. It possesses anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, sedative and skeletal muscle relaxant properties. It is used for short term treatment of moderately severe insomnia. It is not available in the U.S.
