Advice & Tips: The only side-effect I have experienced from this drug is the acceleration of the effects of menopause and estrogen deficiency. Specifically, I am very susceptible to urinary tract infections, vaginal dryness and burning, but have finally controlled this by taking a small amount of estrogen vaginally twice weekly (Vagifem). I also find it necessary to use a vaginal moisturizer (Replens) for dryness and ph balance.
