Adult onset asthma dx in 1989 approximately. Morphing into chronic bronchitis and never DON'T have a cough. Relocated to Florida and am in an asthma study on Dulera and the medication is not working as it should.
Smoker in elementary school and high school and in the Army briefly. Chronic wheezing now as I have never had it before.
Exposure to toxins while stationed at Ft. McClellan, Alabama and a Soldier MP in the US Army. Many medical conditions due to this exposure.
I have Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease listed in my VA records but have never been treated for it. I will be pursuing a DX that I understand when going to the VA and pursuing proper treatment.
CT scans from 2009 show a 2cm bulla and a .03cm nodule.
Went to ER on 4 May 15 after a bout of bronchitis that was not going away despite treatment. Treated with DuoNeb, Solumedrol and sent home with Z-pack, Combivent , and Prednisone taper ... feeling like a new person after the breathing treatment and steroids.
Consult with Pulmonary doc soon. Even though I see COPD in my diagnostic criteria on my VA records: Chronic obstructive lung disease (ICD-9-CM 496) I really am not settling into that diagnosis until I understand my PFV tests, etc. That is why I placed "not diagnosed" but I am being treated as if I am.
