What is Stargardt's disease?

Stargardt's Disease is a rare inherited eye disorder in children that involves progressive vision loss and legal blindness. This is caused by degeneration of the macula, the tissue in the center of the retina. The macula aids in sharp, central vision which is key to tasks like reading or driving.
