What is sinus tarsi syndrome?
Sinus tarsi syndrome is pain to the outside of the foot/ankle joint. It is commonly attributed to an ankle sprain or repetitive strain from outward rolling of the foot. This stretches the structures in the rearfoot and causes pain and tenderness in sinus tarsus.
