What is Rathke cleft cyst?
Rathke's pouch is a normal component of development that eventually forms the lobes of the pituitary gland that closes during fetal development. When it does not close a growth known as Rathke's cleft cyst may develop. Symptoms are unusual but may include vision problems or headaches.
