What is post transplant lymphoproliferative disorder?
Posttransplant lymphoproliferative disease is an infection that occurs after transplantation of solid organ or bone marrow. Post transplant patients are at risk for a malfunction of white blood cells (T cells), overgrowth of B lymphocytes (B cells), and presence of the Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV).
