What is hemophilia B?
Hemophilia B is a bleeding disorder caused by a lack of blood clotting factor IX. The blood cannot clot properly without the factor IX, therefore patients are at a higher risk for bleeding. Symptoms include prolonged bleeding, pain in joints, and bruising.
