What is osteosarcoma?

Osteosarcoma, also called osteogenic sarcoma, is a type of cancer that starts in the bones. It most commonly develops in larger bones in the area of bone with the fastest growth rate during adolescence. Another peak in incidence is among adults in their 60s and 70s.
