What is oropharyngeal dysphagia?

Oropharyngeal Dysphagia is difficulty initiating a swallow by moving food from the mouth into the throat and esophagus. Neurological disorders or certain forms of cancer can cause oropharyngeal dysphagia, and patients who try to swallow may experience choking, gagging, or coughing.
