What is Cheyne Stokes Respiration?
Cheyne Stokes Respiration is a form of periodic breathing characterized by an extended pattern of waxing and waning in the amount of air inhaled and exhaled normally followed by central apnea. It can coincide with central sleep apnea and is commonly found in patients with heart failure.
