What is lamellar ichthyosis?

Lamellar ichthyosis is a rare skin condition that presents as patches of scaly skin and outward turning eyelids and lips. Other symptoms that may accompany this condition include, hair loss, decreased sweating, and thickened skin on the palms and soles of the feet.
