What is Parsonage-Turner syndrome?

Parsonage-Turner Syndrome is a rare condition that involves the inflammation of the brachial plexus, a network for nerve fibers located in the shoulder and upper arm area. It causes severe shoulder and arm pain, which may lead to weakness and numbness. The cause of this syndrome is unknown.
