I also take it for a protein supplement when I remember by putting into yogurt with fresh fruit, hot cereals, and vegetable and fruit blends.
I have a hard time getting enough protein in my diet sometimes so this is an easy way to get it.

I can really tell when I'm deficient in the Omega-3's, as I feel depressed and low energy. As soon as I feel low, I have some chia or flax or purslane and I'm all better in less than an hour.
