What is vitelliform dystrophy?
Vitelliform macular dystrophy is a genetic disorder that affects the macula (area of the retina that is responsible for sharp central vision) of the eye. A buildup of lipofuscin (fatty yellow pigment) damage the macula cells and cause progressive vision loss.
