Shaken baby syndrome occurs from injury to the brain from forcefully shaking an infant or toddler.The brain bounces back and forth against the skull and can cause bruising, swelling, pressure, and bleeding in the brain. Some symptoms include, lethargy, seizures, breathing problems, and irritability.
