What is pigmentary dispersion syndrome?
Pigment dispersion syndrome occurs when pigment granules that normally adhere to the back of the iris (the colored part of the eye), flake off into the clear fluid (aqueous humor) produced in the eye. These granules can the clog the canals of the eye, and cause increased pressure in the eye.
