What is os acromiale?
Os Acromiale is a bone finding that occurs when fusion of the acromial process fails. A person may have unilateral or bilateral os acromiale depending on if one or both scapulas are not fused properly. The finding does not usually cause symptoms, but may cause pain or lead to rotator cuff tears.
