What is hyperaldosteronism?
Hyperaldosteronism is a condition in which the body produces high amounts of the hormone aldosterone. It is commonly caused by a tumor in an adrenal gland but may also be a complication of a condition or genetic. This may lead to fluid retention, increased blood pressure, hypokalemia, and weakness.
