What is Glanzmann's thrombasthenia?

Glanzmann's thrombasthenia is a rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by an abnormality of platelets in the glycoproteins IIb/IIIa. Symptoms that may be associated with the condition relate to easily bruising, excessive bleeding, or abnormal bleeding.
