What is eosinophilic polymyositis?

Eosinophilic polymyositis is a higher than normal level of eosinophils, a type of white blood cells along with an inflammation and weakness of the skeletal muscles. It may be associated with inflammation in other organs, including the joints, heart, lungs, intestines and skin.
