What is corticosteroid myopathy?

Corticosteroid myopathy is characterized by a weakness in muscles related to steroid use. Sensation and muscle stretch reflexes are typically normal. A decrease or discontinuation of steroids may improve symptoms. Mild exercise and resistance training may also help.
