Congenital myasthenic syndrome is a group of disorders caused by an abnormality in the neuromuscular junction. This condition results in muscle weakness and fatigue. The 3 types of CMS include presynaptic (the nerve cell), postsynaptic (the muscle cell), and orsynaptic (in between).
