What is chronic progressive external ophthalmoplegia?
Chronic progressive external ophthalmoplegia (CPEO) is a type of mitochondrial myopathy which is a neuromuscular disease that affects muscle functions. CPEO is a condition that involves the muscles in the eyelid and eye movement.
