Carcinosarcoma is a type of mixed malignant tumor that has elements of carcinoma (cancer of skin and tissue lining organs) and sarcoma (cancer of connective tissue, such as bone, cartilage, and fat). It can occur in different places in the body including the salivary glands, ovary, and uterus.
