What is ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate?

Ethinyl estradiol-norgestimate is a combination product consisting of two female hormones. It is used for the prevention of pregnancy and for the treatment of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD); and for the treatment of acne. The combination can come in a monophasic and triphasic dosing regimen.
