Advice & Tips: The extended release form of Mirapex worked well for me.  It caused less Excessive Daytime Somnolence than the immediate release form, but the ER cost way too much b.c it was not on formulary with my insurance.  It would have cost me $600 for it.  So I had my doctor change to the generic immediate release which needed to be taken 3 times a day, and caused fluctuations.  It made me more sleepy during my evening commute home from work.  Now I am retired so it is not such a problem anymore.
