About American Liver Foundation, Great Lakes Division
Our mission at the American Liver Foundation is to facilitate, advocate, and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease. The Great Lakes Division includes Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. We have four signature fundraising events throughout the year (Flavors, Golf Classic, Liver Life Challenge and Liver Life Walk) that support our informational materials and core programs (Fatty Liver Information Program (FLIP), Love Your Liver (LYL) youth education program and Treatment Choices Initiative (TCI) focused on Hepatitis C). Annually, we host the Academic Debates where fellows from the top medical teaching institutions debate topics of liver disease.
