Entacapone is an inhibitor of catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) and is used as an adjunct treatment for patients taking levodopa and carbidopa for Parkinson’s Disease who experience the signs and symptoms of end-of-dose “wearing-off”.

Advice & Tips: Must be taken with C/L dosage.  My effects vary with duration, but I have bad off time wear off; which is why i am trying DBS.

Advice & Tips: I have not been on at 10 PM for some time (a year or two or more). But I no longer take comtan because I have had DBS.

Advice & Tips: Since going to three doses a day, I frequently have no off time, from about half an hour after I take the medication first thing in the AM, until 8 or 9 at night. Sometimes I"m still on at 10 PM when I go to bed.
