Advice & Tips: [Comment on cost: Through Catholic Charities, I was able to have therapy at a greatly reduced cost.] My wife and I both started seeing a therapist (individually). We helped each other identify what specifically we wanted to talk about with the therapist. It helped to be open and honest and allow myself to trust the therapist - know that her only job was to help me, not judge me. I tried the things we talked about in my day-to-day life. I learned new thought patterns and resolved some nagging issues that no longer bother me.
