Advice & Tips: 12 months ago I was diagnosed with Diabetes II to go -- takeaway! -- with my Fibromyalgia. I was very annoyed about this as I do do a lot of exercise and didn't really consume that much in way of food but obesity and diabetes runs in my family. Weight has always dogged me with FM because of the inactivity impositions and the medication I had used for so long -- the Tricyclics. So I change my diet to consciously follow a low carbohydrate regime such that I now consume around about 50-110 grams of carbohydrate per day (the norm is over 300 grams per day) . This has not only done wonders for my blood sugar levels but I have lost weight -- 12 kgms -- at the steady state rate of about 1 kgm per month.
Cost: < $25 monthly
