Sertraline, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant, is used in the treatment of major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and social anxiety disorder.

Advice & Tips: My digestive problems have been resolved. I have no other conditions that would lead a doctor to think I had anything seriously wrong with me. I now take 150 mgs of Zoloft. I take it every day with no problem.

Advice & Tips: A long time friend as far as meds go. It has been my major depression med for many years. I feel very comfortable with it, but have experienced what I best describe as breakthrough depression for the last 4 to 5 years and have taken it with adjunct meds, i.e. Abilify and currently Seroquel XR.
