Amantadine is used to treat Parkinson's Disease and "parkinson-like" symptoms such as stiffness and shaking that may be caused by the use of certain drugs. It is also an antiviral medication that may be used to treat and prevent certain strains of influenza A.

Advice & Tips: It took me several trips to the Neurologist before we found the right drug cocktail. Advice & Tips: Amantadine helps with dyskinesia. Also, I notice if I take it before I get out of bed, I feel a bit restless and need to get up.
