Advice & Tips: STILL CONTROLLING MY MITRAL VALVE PROLAPSE. I USED TO GET LIGHT HEADED AND ALMOST BLACK OUT. MY HEART RATE WOULD BECOME VERY ERRATIC, AND I WOULD WIND UP IN THE HOSPITAL UNTIL THEY COULD STABILIZE MY HEART RATE. THAT HASN'T HAPPENED IN AT LEAST 15 YEARS.
Cost: < $25 monthly

Jul 20, 2015 (Started Jul 10, 2014)

  • Effectiveness
    Major (for Swallowing difficulty (dysphagia))
  • Side effects
    Mild (Occasional low blood pressure)
  • Adherence
    Always
  • Burden
Not at all hard to take
Dosage: 120 mg Daily
Advice & Tips: the medication works for me at the lowest dose. It lowers my blood pressure, but not too low now. I am able to eat and manage my swallowing and making sure my food goes to my stomach. I can't talk while I eat because I need to pay attention whether or not my food is going down like it is supposed to do.
