  • Perceived effectiveness for Slurred speech: Slight
  • Side Effects: None
  • Adherence: Sometimes
  • Burden: Not at all
Dosage: 1 hr Daily
Advice & Tips: The therapist though I was already doing everything I should be doing, so I got very little out of this treatment and quit goin. I would recommend this for anyone with speach or swallowing problems though. It is nice to know where you stand.

  • Perceived effectiveness for Improve communication: Moderate
  • Side Effects: None
  • Adherence: Always
  • Burden: Somewhat
Dosage: 150 min Weekly
Advice & Tips: This therapy is valuable in teaching PD patients some of the exercises which they can do to improve their speech. It also teaches you how to slow down in your pace of speaking. My speech pathologist was very supportive of me too. THAT is a real confidence booster. It is NOT a magic cure-all.
Cost: $50-99 monthly
