Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine. It is used to relieve irritated, itchy, watery eyes; sneezing; and runny nose caused by hay fever, allergies, or the common cold. It may also be used to prevent and treat motion sickness, or to control abnormal movements in early stage parkinsonian syndrome.

Advice & Tips: Been taking Benadryl as a sleeping aid for years in conjunction with Tylenol after I had a NASTY experience with generic Ambien. Have gotten used to it, but really appreciated its effectiveness during my current bout with poison oak.

Advice & Tips: I take 2 25 mg tabs before activities such as oil painting or going to the gym to help mitigate my tremors. I believe the dose helps keep my tremors in check. THe effect may be from the benadryl or a placebo effect, but it seems to take the edge off my tremors.
