Hydrodilatation (hydraulic arthrographic capsular distension, distension arthrography) is a medical treatment for adhesive capsulitis of shoulder. Contrast medium, local anaesthetic and cortisone are injected into the joint, and then a volume of saline solution in order to stretch the joint capsule.
