Ceftazidime is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It is only given through an intravenous infusion or an injection into the muscle. Ceftazidime is used to many types of infections including bone/joint; bacterial arthritis; Pseudomas infection; intra-abdominal; meningitis; and complicated pneumonias.
