What is Ureteric Stent?

Category: Procedures

The tube connecting the kidney to the bladder is the ureter, this can become blocked (stone, disease, or trauma). An obstruction will create pressure build-up within the kidney, and can cause kidney damage. A stent can be placed to relieve the pressure and drain the urine.
