Dabigatran is an anticoagulant, thrombin inhibitor used for the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation and postoperative thromboprophylaxis in patients who have undergone total hip or knee replacement procedures.

Advice & Tips: I used an twice daily alarm on my phone to remember to take it regularly. When I travelled (hot car), I stored the container it came in inside a thermos to help keep it at the right temperature.
