Creative Movements is a form of dance movement therapy. It is based on the concept that movement and emotion are related. It is a psychotherapeutic use of movement for emotional, cognitive, social, behavioural and physical conditions.
Advice & Tips:
We haven't done dance class most of the summer and probably won't be picking it up again. While he really loved it at first, he seemed to grow bored of it. I think in the year or so he was doing it, they only added a couple songs. So, it was pretty repetitive and I think he just grew tired of it. He does love to dance, though, and loves to do so around the house. So it was really helpful in helping him realize that he really enjoyed dancing.
